i. School celebrations (Fun Run Fundraiser, Book Fair, etc)
ii. Data Review – beginning of the year Acadience data
b. Review and approve minutes from September
c. Review and possibly approve proposed updates to Park Lane Bylaws
B. Review and Approval of Three Required School Plans [30 minutes]
a. Review, Discuss, and Approve the Digital Citizenship Plan/Report (10 minutes)
i. Prior to the meeting, please visit the district’s Digital Citizenship website and watch the two videos posted. Also please look over “Digital Citizenship and the School Community Council.” (about 30 minutes), https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/scc-digital-citizenship/
b. Review, Discuss, and Approve the School Safety Report (10 minutes)
i. Please also spend a few minutes familiarizing yourself with the school district’s School Safety Report https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/safe-schools/ as well as what we need to complete as part of our SCC School Safety Plan https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/scc/school-safety/
c. Review, Discuss, and Approve SAFE Routes Plan (10 minutes)
i. Please review attached DRAFT of the SAFE Routes Plan prior to the meeting and come ready to discuss or with proposals for edits to the plan.
C. Budgets Review & Requests [5 minutes]
a. Cell Tower Grant Requests
b. Other budget items if applicable
D. School Boundary Discussion [30 minutes]
a. For the purpose of discussing school boundary changes with school board member Katie Dahle.
b. Evaluate SCC parents’ communication efforts so far and consider how else SCC parents might be helpful for gathering insights and providing feedback.
c. Q&A with current SCC members.
