- Discuss and Approve Proposed TSSP and Land Trust Plan for 2025-2026
- Update draft in any areas per SCC recommendations
- The goals are consistent with the 24-25 plan with the exception of the ACC classes. Instead of individual goals for each ACC class, the proficiency goals are now for the ACC group as a whole.
- Karen Pedersen suggested adding more comparisons throughout the plan. Instead of just saying “we’d like 3rd grade to be 85% proficient” noting where 3rd grade is currently so anyone reading the plan understands the growth needed. These notes assist the Canyons Board as they read through each plan.
- Vote for Approval
- Justin and Kristen agreed to make the verbiage changes. Each member of the SCC agreed to return to the school and sign the signature page after digitally reviewing the updated TSSP plan emailed out by Justin.

- Discussion about elementary-level Chromebook filtering and access options
- Superintendent Rick Robbins asked the SCC to add this to their agenda. After the Canyons School Board meeting on Tuesday, March 18th, the district would like SCC’s input on 3 filtering options.
- Keeping filter restrictions the way they are today which is a blocked list filter system with the option to opt into higher restrictions
- Making an allowed list filter the default
- Making an allowed list filter the default and giving parents the option to opt into lower restrictions
- This topic was discussed in length and many opinions were shared. Ultimately the SCC voted 7-3 for option 1 with some notes. The SCC would like if the filter program Content Keeper would email parents when their students searched inappropriate terms. Currently only Principal Jeffery gets this email. Jeanette also offered to make tutorials for parents, so they understood their filter options and how to make changes on the district’s portal.
