Council Meeting Minutes

April 30, 2020

VIRTUALLY MEETING @ 7 p.m.

Attendees:

Items to discuss:

  1. Review and Approve Last Meeting’s Minutes (7:00). Motion to approve: Jessica Smith second: Jake Prestwich, unanimous in the affirmative
  2. Digital Citizenship/White Ribbon Week plan for next year (7:06). Council discussed possible dates for October. Elizabeth Seeley volunteered to head it up for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. 
  3. Cell Tower Money Requests (7:10)
    1. New Grant Requests: Jeanne Prestwich has asked for a second set of books for her reading extension course. Jake Prestwich recuses himself from vote. Motion to approve: Elizabeth Seeley, Second: Jen Coccimiglio, unanimous in the affirmative.
    2. Plan to purchase of up to 50 Chromebooks (10k) – as needed to replace damaged/old ones and chromebooks that might not come back. Motion to approve: Susan Homer, second: Jessica Smith, unanimous in the affirmative. 
    3. Other Cell tower money requests (website manager stipend).  Motion to approve $500 stipend for Brett Williams to be our website manager for the 2020-2021 school year: Jake Prestwich, second: Susan Homer, unanimous in the affirmative.
  4. Staffing updates for next year (7:30). Council discussed updates for next year. We had an email previously sent with the updates so no additional questions at this time.
  5. Other Information/Concerns (7:35)
    1. Grading this year – No questions at this time.
    2. Safety – No questions at this time
    3. SCC Status for next year – Council reviewed their status and will reapply at the beginning of next year if so desired.
  6. Motion to dismiss: Jessica Smith, second:Bekah Gardner, unanimous in the affirmative
