Park Lane PTA: A New View for 21-22

How fun was last week?? We were able to spoil our incredible Park Lane teachers and staff, and enjoy the fine weather and our children’s creations for Night of the Arts. Here’s a shout out to all of the wonderful food trucks that didn’t charge us a minimum and fed us yummy food! https://www.facebook.com/ChurroMazingUT,https://www.facebook.com/Jarkintakos-103658545606493,https://www.facebook.com/thecorndogcompany.ut

Testing is still happening, so be mindful of meeting your kiddo’s basic needs well; like healthy food and good sleep. Help them succeed and show off what our teachers have taught them this year! The teacher and staff Favorites/Amazon Wishlists are still active if you’d like to surprise them with something for the end of the year…which is like only 2 weeks away!

We will be holding our final AR parties this Thursday, May 12th so be sure to help your little reader get their tests taken by the end of day TOMORROW Tuesday May 10th so they can attend their grade’s party. See the links below for AR tests and points needed to attend. We plan on awarding all the trophies earned this year at our Dance Festival.

Dance Festival will be held on Tuesday, May 24th @ 9am out on the back field and everyone is welcome. Some of the classes have begun learning their dance, and this is a fun way to incorporate knowledge of other cultures through movement.

It’s time for Prestigious Panther goals to be completed. If you have questions about your child’s progress, please email your teacher. See the link for what the goals are by grade. Our Superior Prestigious Panther achievers will be awarded their trophies at the Dance Festival as well. (The 5th graders that have earned their PP each year!)

Our very own choir will have an awesome “Night on Broadway” concert on Tuesday May 17th 5:30pm-6:30pm on the Park Lane stage. Come hear what the 3rd-5th graders in The Panther Studio have been rehearsing for all year!

Wednesday May 25th. Field Day. Is. Coming!  It’s pretty much the BEST day of the year! We need one more volunteer to help with our Sensory Scavenger Hunt. First person to fill in the Field Day GoogleSheet with their name and email wins the final spot! 🤞The map and schedule link is on there as well. Send your kids to school wearing a swimsuit, or in clothes they can get WET in. Then maybe some dry clothes to change into. We plan to have the fire truck spray-down right before school is dismissed that day, so be sure to bring towels for wet children to go home in!

For parents of 5th graders, their traditional Kickball Game against the teachers/staff will be on Wednesday in the morning, and then their graduation party will be on Thursday May 26th during school. While the 5th graders have their party, the rest of the students will have Step Up Day where they will get to meet their teachers for the next year. Then school will be dismissed for the summer on Thursday May 26th @ 12:30pm.

We’ve got our last PTA Board Meeting tomorrow and anyone is welcome to join us in the conference room or via GoogleMeet. See what we do if you’d like to maybe try us out before volunteering for next year. 😉
