SCHOOL NEWS:
Kindergarten Registration – We have begun kindergarten registration for next school year. If you have a student who will be attending kindergarten next year please contact the front office this week. Getting kindergarten numbers early allows us to correctly staff classrooms in the fall. Please help us spread the word by sharing this with neighbors of future kindergarteners.
Reading and Achieving – We’re gearing up for our first ever Battle of the Books at Park Lane Elementary. We’re witnessing renewed reading joy and excitement among our 3rd-5th grade students. The competitions will be in March. Thank you to our awesome PTA and Melanie Griffith for heading up this program.
T.O.Y. Nominations – Thank you to everyone who nominated a Teacher of the Year. Our 2025 Park Lane Teacher of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, March 12th. We will create a virtual assembly at 9 a.m. for all classes to participate in the reveal. Parents who are interested in viewing may also request the link from the office to watch at home.
From the Cafeteria – Please monitor your students’ lunch accounts. This is especially important for students who are wanting to purchase a milk to go along with their home lunch. The lunch staff has multiple regulations that they must follow (some don’t seem to make a lot of sense). For example, students whose lunch account balance dips into the negatives can still get a reimbursable lunch ($2.00), which will take the account further into the negatives. However, students who are just seeking to get a milk ($.50) and have a negative balance are not able to just get that per their regulations.

- March 6th – Springville Museum of Arts – Art Talks at Park Lane
- March 7th – Battle of the Books Day 1 Competition
- March 14th – Battle of the Books Day 2 Competition
- March 18th – Spring Pictures
- March 20th – School Community Council Meeting @ 6:00 p.m.
- March 24th – No Student Day (Faculty Professional Learning and Planning)
- March 25th – STEM on the Stage Assembly
